Pikul Xinyi Xiangshan Branch offers a blend of authentic Thai cuisine in a modern and spacious setting, located in the heart of Taipei’s Xinyi District. While reviews are mixed, several dishes stand out as highlights. Diners rave about the curry seafood and the green papaya salad, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to traditional flavors without Taiwanese fusion. Customers appreciate the spacious dining environment and friendly service, particularly from manager Mr. Lu, who is eager to enhance the menu with new offerings.
However, there are areas for improvement. Some guests found the pineapple fried rice lacking in authenticity and flavor, and others noted that certain crispy dishes, like the fried chicken with hot sauce, were too dry for their liking. Despite these critiques, the accessible pricing and enjoyable atmosphere make Pikul a solid option for casual lunches or family gatherings.
Overall, while Pikul Xinyi Xiangshan Branch has potential, the consistency of its dishes could elevate the dining experience even further. For those seeking a relaxed spot with a touch of Thai authenticity, it remains an enticing choice in Taipei.

Reviews for Pikul Xinyi Xiangshan Branch
Review highlights
Based on 2,470 reviewsPikul Xinyi Xiangshan Branch is generally praised for its authentic Thai flavors and a pleasant, spacious dining environment. Reviewers commonly highlight standout dishes such as curries, papaya salad, and seafood options, with particular appreciation for thorough presentation and flavorful combinations. The restaurant offers a modern, bright setting that enhances the dining experience, alongside friendly and attentive service. While many find the pricing fair considering the prime location, some feedback points to inconsistencies in flavor intensity and dish preparation, including occasional dryness or lack of customization in spice levels. Minor service disruptions and seating arrangements have also been noted but do not significantly detract from the overall positive impression of this Thai dining spot.
We ordered 5 of the top 10 dishes they rated and it was a bit disappointing. Pineapple fried rice was not as authentic as expected, not flavorful enough compared to other Thai restaurants here. The curry seafood shareable and black shrimp was good though! Unfortunately where we’re seated, waitress was moving desks and seats around, with very high squeaking sounds despite customers dining right next to it. There’s definitely a lot to improve, but it’s a great spot for snacking and lunch!
I wasn’t expecting much from this restaurant, but I was surprised by how pretty good the Thai cuisines were here. Also pretty authentic and less Taiwanese fusion that I tend to find at Thai restaurants. Pad Thai was good. Papaya salad was great. Service was friendly and space was spacious and modern. Prices were fair for this area with all the mega malls.
A very inexpensive Thai diner in a super convenient location. The dining environment is excellent. The spacious space, the high brightness, and the decoration are some of the most satisfying things. However, the foods can be improved as the fried chicken with hot sauce is too dry. The spiciness of the soup cannot be customized to a mild flavor.
we have one of most impressive eating experience at this place. The atmosphere is amazingly relax and pleasant. We had both dinner and lunch here, the dishes are distinguish delicious. Curry soft shell crab, curry pork and green papaya salad are all very very tasty. Also I had the best chicken wing which I will order every time. Manager Mr Lu gives wonderful service and he told us that he will add 30 more new dishes including green curry beef which is my favorite starting this March. I highly recommend this place for romantic gathering, friends or family gathering.
This is a traditional Thai restaurant that serves many of the favorites such as curry, salads, desserts, and a few chef specials. The dishes are tasty as good. Presentation of the dishes are also well thought thru. Overall we had a good experience
